You will be working on their innovative customer portal. Their customers use this system to perform many activities, including: -* Managing fuel cards* Accessing real time vehicle fleet tracking, telematics data and dashcam footage* Reporting on driver behaviour* interacting with our customer services team.* Running reportsThis portal is a key part of their customer offering and they are constantly looking for ways to improve and develop the feature set. They have exciting plans for the next phase of development.The portal is built using React and Python. For this role, they are looking for someone with strong experience of React, alongside knowledge of back-end technologies and relational databases.More important than the technical skills are evidence that you are a good problem solver, a focussed and dedicated developer with the ability to work on your own as well as with a team.ProfileThe successful candidate will have solid commercial experience with:* React* HTML, CSS and JavaScript/TypeScript* Back-end technologies (such as Python, Java, Node.js etc.)* Database technologies (such as Postgres, Oracle, MySQL or MSSQL)* Experience using source control toolsBonus points for knowledge in:* Python and/or Django* Knowledge of front-end accessibility, optimisation, and performance best practices* AWS technologies* Database design, and/or query optimisation skills* DevOps, CI/CD, Docker, Linux Sysadmin* Application SecurityJob Offer
