Job Description

Basic to £40,000BonusPackageBased North Cheshire (Warrington, Crewe, Macclesfield, Stockport)Project Sales EngineerThis organisation, operating for over 50 years, has grown to become one of the worlds leading manufacturers of precision manufactured products for the global energy sectors. Operating internationally across all regions, providing outstanding technical customerservice, on-time deliveries and continued Engineering innovation, they are now looking to strengthen their commercial team, they are looking to secure a Project Sales Engineer to support the sales effort across their existing customer base and be fundamentalto securing new business.What You Will Do:

  • To be a key and valuable member of the bid management team, providing regular and positive contributions at departmental/management meetings.
  • Review the RFQ package to determine the best outcome, based on customer specification, competitive situation, our capabilities and supply chain.
  • Prepare and issue enquiries to selected vendors and evaluate their proposals.
  • Negotiate with customers and suppliers attending bid clarification meeting to secure orders.
  • Participate in pre-award meetings, kick-off meeting sand pre-inspection meetings with customers, suppliers and internal colleagues
  • Strengthening the contract with each at every available opportunity in respect of risk and profitability.
  • Ensure that the projects financial objectives are met or exceeded.
What You Will Have:
  • Qualification in an engineering discipline or clear demonstration of relevant experience.
  • A proven track record of managing major project work.
  • Experience of selling within a multi-product line engineering business.
  • Sound commercial knowledge and business acumen.
  • Ability to work in a complex organisation, liaising with multiple offices and plants in order to deliver results.
  • Confident and proficient knowledge of SAP would be a particular benefit.
  • Computer literacy essential with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications [Excel, Work and PowerPoint] essential
