Job Description

Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer - Food Manufacturer - Cheshire - Up to £42,000.About the CompanyOur client a leading food manufacturer based in Cheshire are looking for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their team.Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer - The Rewards

  • Salary up to £42,000
  • Attractive shift pattern, 6am -2pm / 2pm -10pm

Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer - Requirements
  • Ideally worked in food industry (pace), must have manufacturing
  • Apprenticeship trained, electrically biased
  • Background in Elec & Mech BTEC, ONC in electrical engineering, 17th Edition
  • Experience of breakdowns, preventative maintenance
  • Worked on following machines, desirable: Ilapak, Loma, Multivac, Weber Worked on Markem printers, Soco machines, bowl choppers
  • Experience of site services e.g. refrigeration, water services, facilities maintenance PLC experience, must be able to complete fault finding tasks; programming desirable but not essential
  • Experience of stock control both disciplines of process and usage of a system to record / control
  • Experience of control of contractor systems
  • Understanding and knowledge of H&S requirements
  • Able to influence change and take responsibility for this KPI bonus scheme, opportunity to add value to projects and earn additional reward
  • Able to work alone and willing to make decisions
  • Able to be part of a team both Engineering and site
  • Understanding of 5s & CI Ideally experience of project participation
  • Highly flexible in shifts / tasks Ideally experience of TIG / MIG welding, not essential Keen, eager, enthusiastic, conscientious, willing to change and adapt
  • Calm under pressure and able to work within a challenging environment
  • Ability to think outside the box; creative and able to come up with different ways of problem solving
  • A positive attitude, can-do Ideally Electrical BETEC
Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer - Responsibilities
  • Preventative maintenance on machines and equipment
  • Responding to emergency breakdowns throughout the plant
  • Ensure servicing and maintenance cause as little disruption to production as possible.
  • Ensure all work is carried out safely and correctly with appropriate records being available for updating.
  • Play an active role in any continuous improvement teams ensuring that technological advancement is embraced.
