Job Description

Mortgage Team Leader We are looking for an experienced Team Leader to manage and lead our clients Mortgages division to achieve company objectives and targets. You will be responsible for supervising, monitoring, and motivating the Mortgage Team and its Advisers, as well as processing mortgage applications where required, in order to ensure a first-class delivery of our service to our clients and key stakeholders.Key duties:

  • Monitoring the day-to-day activities of the team, who are based across five different locations.
  • Management of the day-to-day business operations within the team.
  • Lead management.
  • Management of daily figures.
  • Develop and maintain business relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Ensure that service levels are achieved on a consistent basis.
  • Ensure that clearly defined processes and controls are documented and followed for all of the team’s activities.
  • Continuous process improvement, looking for ways to increase the efficiency and quality of all processes and procedures.
  • Support the personal performance and development of the team.
  • Motivating the team to achieve business goals.
  • Conducting quarterly performance reviews.
  • Contributing to the growth of the company through a successful team.
  • Creating a pleasant working environment that inspires a team.
  • Maintaining technical competence at an appropriate level to meet the requirements of the role.
  • Requirement to support with mortgage processing, i.e., submitting mortgage applications where required and chasing lenders / third parties.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, friendly and professional demeanour.
  • Highly self-motivated, attentive and demonstrates a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Strong organisation skills.
  • Results orientated.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Broad experience of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Manges own workload and can prioritise tasks whilst displaying high attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience within the mortgage sector not required but desirable.
