Job Description

Marketing Executive (SEO and Content)Location: Crewe We are looking for an experienced SEO and Content Executive to join an established organisation based in Crewe. Your focus will be on planning, researching and producing quality content. As part of what you do, youll need to work out what gaps and opportunitiesyou see and what content a website needs in order to generate more business from Organic Search.This is a hands-on role, we are looking for someone that is excited by driving this part of our business and skilled at creating content that drives awareness, consideration and website traffic. You should also have an interest in digital transformationand how new technologies can improve our working lives.Responsibilities: What youll be doing

  • Management of the companys multi-branded websites and understand SEO best practices
  • Working closely with Marketing Team, external partners and the wider business to continuously develop our e-commerce strategy and marketing strategy through content to support marketing campaigns, including:
  • Search-Optimised content and blog posts
  • Social media video
  • Infographics
  • Working with the SMT to produce how-to content and guides
  • Onboarding campaigns
  • Sales enablement articles
  • Testimonials and case studies
  • Improving our Google Page Speed scores and moving up the rankings to increase customer acquisition through our Organic channel
  • Daily SEO optimizations from keywords, alt tags and meta descriptions to SEO focused content to drive traffic
  • Weekly and monthly reporting to showcase the performance in line with marketing objectives
  • Collaborating with different areas within the business to reach specific goals as a team
  • Day-to-day management of an external agency to support your plans
  • Project management to bring your plans to life that will require buy in and sign off from key stakeholders
  • Investigation to source issues or blockers and come up with creative solutions
  • Liaising with team members on a daily basis to discuss projects and tasks
  • Assist with wider content efforts to execute ambitious strategies for growth
The successful candidate will ideally have:
  • Basic HTML knowledge to support with identifying and fixing issues
  • An in depth understanding of on-page SEO, HTML and CSS
  • The ability to support with outreach and content promotion
  • Data experience to optimize content and understand our customers
  • Proven track record of writing successful content
  • Understanding of the commercial purpose behind content
  • Copywriting experience with an attention to detail
  • High level of understanding of essential SEO practices such as keyword research and content gap analysis or willingness to learn
  • Strong overall SEO knowledge or willingness to learn
  • Good experience using tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console and WordPress (or equivalent) or willingness to learn
  • Creative, and able to run brainstorming sessions and generating lots of great ideas
  • An effective, persuasive writing style that is fresh, consistent and customer-friendly
  • A capacity for editing and proofreading, with good research skills
  • An English, Creative Writing, Journalism, PR, or Marketing degree is a bonus but not essential.
