Male Support WorkerLocation: Crewe, Cheshire.Salary: £11.50 per hour.Contract: Both full and part time contracts available.Benefits: 28 Days Holiday Pay (including bank holidays) and pension. Payment to attend all training.Emma Way Associates have an exciting opportunity for a male Support Worker to complete a specialist care team, working with a man with a spinal cord injury who is living with his family in the Crewe area.The Role:• Assisting with all aspects of personal care, including bowel and bladder care.• Providing support and assistance for social outings and appointments and assisting with all therapies.• Assisting with domestic tasks.• Our client plans to take occasional holidays and the role would involve accompanying him on these trips as part of a team on a rota basis.About You:• We are looking for candidates who are flexible, reliable, trustworthy, and enthusiastic with a good sense of humour.• You should also be open minded and willing to learn new skills.• You should have a basic education with good written and verbal communication skills.• No specific qualifications are required but you must be able and willing to follow mandatory training and to learn specific skills to work effectively with client according to his care plan.• You should have the ability to provide a high standard of therapeutic support with a caring and professional approach.• Ideally you will have received both your Covid-19 vaccinations and can provide evidence of such.You must have:• A full clean driving licence is essential.• Previous and current care experience of working or living with someone with special needs.Shift Patterns:• 12-hour day shifts.• You will be forming a team who will provide full daytime support on a rota basis, including weekend and bank holiday working.• Part time team members must be able to commit to a minimum of 24 hours per week.If you feel you have the skills and experience to be successful in this role then apply today and submit your up to date CV with a short supporting statement as to why you want the role and what specific skills or experience you bring to it.
