Job Description

Logistics Module Representative Crewe3 Month Contract £21 per hourMy high-profile Motoring manufacturing client is looking for a Logistics Module Representativeto join their team on an initial contract of 3 months. The role is a Hybrid role which will require the candidate to work 3 days at the Crewe Site and 2 days at home This role is Monday to Friday 8:00 - 5:00 on a 35-hour working week.In this role you will act as the logistics representative in the Module, SET and cross-functional product change teams. To support decision-making, take responsibility for logistics actions, feedback information and escalate any issues to the logistics function.The logistics module representative is responsible for managing the introduction of parts through the maturation process to full quality note approval.Role responsibilities

  • Present logistics issues & challenges to proposed changes where appropriate, ensuring the most business efficient supply conditions are included in decision to proceed
  • Preparation & completion of relevant actions in the required time frame
  • Communicate within all relevant logistics areas, any key project changes or critical issues that will either affect logistics operations or may require logistics to take remedial actions
  • Facilitate Green Spot events to ensure all parts are at the correct level for introduction at each stage of a build programme.
  • Agree attendees with Project Module Leader, send out meeting invites and agendas
  • Liaise with Pre-Series Supply Centre Analysts prior to meetings to obtain latest sample and parts availability data
  • Facilitate meetings ensuring all items are discussed; actions are allocated to appropriate owners and time scales agreed. Send out minutes and next steps from each meeting
  • Monitor data fill in TEVON ensuring actions are in place to maintain all key data values across all functions
  • Creation and maintenance of KPIs
  • Support with information for approval responses
  • Monitor the progress of change from approval to implementation ensuring the information is up to date in TEVON & tracking database
  • For ECR parts validate and expedite samples from due date in TEVON
  • Agree change implementation date with supplier ensuring minimal liability costs to business based on class of change and stocks held at Bentley or supplier. Consult with Supply Centre Analysts & Series planning for new part introduction
  • Enter CP8 date timing into STEREO
  • Respond to implementation of change in AVON
  • Provide information to Series planners as appropriate and respond to any queries promptly (part issue levels, receipt concerns, change implications & timing)
  • Check that the engineering Bill of Material correctly reflects the introduction of the new parts and removal of old parts as part of the change
  • Carry out validation of vehicle specific bills of material at appropriate times according to the Pre-Series build phases to ensure that parts are correctly ordered according to the required specifications
  • Raise any Permits required for Model Year or New Project build phases
  • Ensure appropriate signatures are obtained for all permits. Support logistics implementation actions for Model Year and New Project permits as required and monitor through to permit closure.
Skills and Experience
  • Demonstrable experience of a large manufacturing operation exposed to matrix management solutions
  • Understanding of Logistics change management preferred
  • General understanding of all key Logistics processes to support delivery of functional requirements
  • Detailed Knowledge of engineering change processes and systems
  • Communication skills required for external supplier contact and internal customers
  • Experience of dealing with outside suppliers
  • Experience of systems related to engineering projects (ESON, AVON, TEVON, BEON)
  • Understanding of MRP processes and company Enterprise Resource Planning system (SAP) experience beneficial
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
