Job Description

Experienced Level 3 Engineer£25k - £30kCreweOur client is looking to secure an enthusiastic individual who has a strong interest and experience in repairing smartphones and similar devices. The ideal candidate will be passionate about technology with good attention to detail, as well as a full understanding of electronic circuits, components, and schematics.You will be able to perform repetitive tasks methodically and systematically in a timely and the most cost-effective manner within a fast-paced environment.Key responsibilities:

  • To consistently ensure that the efficiency and quality of each repair processed is to an extremely high standard within the industry expectations of a Level 3 repair.
  • Assist in leading the Repair Room in motherboard repairs on the mobile phones.
  • To perform preliminary functional test to reproduce faults
  • To carry out IC replacement and onboard component rework
  • To carry out diagnostics to board component level
  • To carry out a final functional test to ensure a good quality of repair is achieved on every handset.
  • Training - To assist with the training & development of all technicians within your team. To consistently provide support and guidance to ensure continual professional development.
  • To conduct personal research into the ongoing developments within the mobile phone industry to ensure that the Repair Room is following continuous development and improvements in their repair techniques.
  • To meet daily expected repair targets
  • Accurately record all work completed within internal systems.
  • To be always respectful to fellow team members.
  • Support all new technicians within your team to ensure their training meets the required standard so that they are successfully integrated within the business.
  • To lead by example ensuring a positive team culture and pleasant working environment within the team.
  • Drive productivity and quality within your team and sharing best practice ideas with your colleagues, counterparts, and management.
  • Requirements:
  • Solid soldering and rework skill experience (preferably IPC certification).
  • Able to carry out signature repairs (Charge IC, Touch IC, Audio IC, Camera IC, Backlight, Baseband).
  • Experience in sandwich board separation and repair, using micro jumpers and FPC connector repairs.
  • Research and development in the mobile phone industry.
  • Minimum 2 years experience repairing Mobile Phones
  • Full understanding of schematic diagram.
  • Full understanding of oscilloscope & test equipment.
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently.
  • Positive, can-do, and friendly persona.
