From massive changes to tiny tweaksmaking a difference is what keeps us driven.It started at a pub in Bolton with a £1 bet and a belief that things could be done better!More About the IT Site Support Engineer Role:This is an opportunity for a seasoned Support Engineer all-rounder to join an enthusiastic team of 10 engineers in our effort to provide exceptional 1st and 2nd line support to our customers in AOs ever-growing 2000+ user base. Primarily you will be responsiblefor maintaining our daily operations in our main logistics sites. This is Inclusive of technical support across a wide range of devices and multiple OS platforms (Primarily windows based)You will also have the opportunity to work autonomously to identify and tackle areas of improvement throughout your role with the opportunity to work closely with the team on numerous large-scale projects in relation to ongoing customer service & efficiencyinitiatives.What you can expect to be doing:You will be working closely with all members of the IT and Business Team including Senior management and Directors of AO.com & AO Mobile, prioritising calls and managing escalations as required.This will mean you will have great problem solving, an ability to identify areas for improvement, and better our service levels.It goes without saying, you will have fantastic stakeholder management skills, being a visible presence on site in Crewe, a helpful customer centric attitude and keeping end-users informed.A few things about you:For this role, a driving licence will be required. On the technical side, you will be, and would like to remain, a solid all-rounder. You will have good knowledge of both Apple and Windows products and systems.Its a mix of hardware and software support too so fixing networking and internet technologies one minute, then on to Office 365 solutions and into Azure Active Directory the next wont prove a problem.Other things that will be useful:

  • Software Deployment experience SCCM, InTune etc
  • Group Policy Management experience
  • Knowledgeable of varying tools for Desktop imaging
  • Hardware Repairs (Laptop/Desktop/Mobile)
  • Understanding of VOIP Systems
