Job Description

Our client has an exciting opportunity for a CIPD qualified and experienced HR Business Partner to join their People Team on a full time, permanent basis. In return, you will receive a competitive salary plus great benefits.Our client is part of a multi-billion privately owned organisation with diverse businesses operating across the retail, pharmacy, banking and cement sectors!Their Retail business is headquartered from Crewe, Cheshire, and is the UK’s largest off licence operator with a growing convenience offer under our fascias of Bargain Booze, Wine Rack, Select Convenience and Central Convenience – all with over 600 stores nationally; some of which are company owned and operated and others which are franchised!The HR Business Partnerrole:This role is hugely varied and operates as part of a wider business partnering and overall People Team, in supporting key stakeholders across the Retail business in the delivery of our People Plans and day to day People Services and offer.What you will be doing as a HR Business Partner:- Leading on all complex employee relations issues or organisational change activities, including TUPE activity and/or any Trade Union liaison, where required, ensuring always full adherence with best practice and company policies and processes in place- Driving employee engagement through leading various engagement activities and supporting action plans- Ensure talent acquisition, development and retention strategies and tools are in place, including effective resourcing and onboarding approaches- Coaching and developing leaders and managers in key people skills to ensure best practice and compliance- Partnering key stakeholders proactively through providing and interpreting people data and reporting across their business and ensuring any trends, issues or opportunities are addressed through supporting action plans- Lead and support People Team projects and activities within the overarching People Plan aligned to the business plan and calendar- Maintain a strong external market network and utilise this expertise to deliver up to date knowledge and insight, trends and best practice. Drive continuous improvement and service excellence functionally which shape the business and people strategy overallThe ideal HR Business Partner will have the below skills and experience:- A number of years’ experience as a People Business Partner to senior leaders across a full generalist remit i.e. ER, OD, Talent and Succession, Resourcing, Reward and Performance etc.- You will be highly adept at operating in a complex and fast paced multi-site customer centric change environment, such as retail, wholesale, hospitality or similar.- Be degree educated, or equivalent and be fully CIPD qualified- Strong employment law knowledge and demonstrable expertise in managing complex case work and organisational change (TUPE and Trade Union experience a distinct advantage also)- Significant experience of leading and delivering a wide range of People projects, change and transformation programmes on a stand-alone basis and/or as part of a team and will possess excellent technology skills including data analysis, management and interpretation.In return you will receive a competitive salary, car allowance, opportunity to earn bonus of up to 10%, access to our company pension scheme and private healthcare.If you think you have what it takes to be our HR Business Partner then we want to hear from you, click apply today!No agencies please.
