Job Description

Finance Analyst (Budget Forecasting)AutomotiveHybrid: 3 days per week in Crewe (first month 5 days per week)12 months£37,000 - £43,000 per annumIn short: Junior to Mid-level Planning Engineer with a background in finance or economics required to join a global car manufacturer.The role sits in a central function within production planning, working with all planning functions (paint shop, assembly etc, responsible for financial tracking/steering, lots of cross-functional activities.You will use an in house system to track change requests, ie. vendor changes, take it to the project team, have it passed and then discuss financial and technical feasibility. You will work with excel a lot; forecasting, looking at commitments, challengingand chasing different departments for things that have been agreed, cost expenditure and control.Scope of service:This role supports a number of activities within the Business Planning Team including the financial evaluation of product projects and project change control. The role also develops and maintains the business processes for Production Planning.Key deliverables:

  • Collating and verifying Project Budgets
  • Coordinating the evaluation of Project Change
  • Delivering on time and within budget
Skills and experience:
  • Investment finance background / specific knowledge
  • Experience in cross-functional project environments
  • Ability to self-motivate and organise own workload
  • Strong influencing and communication skills
Practical knowledge:
  • Very advanced Excel skills, advanced in Word / PowerPoint / Outlook
  • Knowledge of Problem Solving Skills/Quality Methods/Target Setting
  • Knowledge of Project Planning
  • Knowledge of Production Processes, Technologies and facilities in production areas
