Job Description

This is a brand new position as a Design Engineer for a growing business near Crewe. It will be days based and will pay c£45k.This is truly a fantastic opportunity for someone to join this business and help build for a very bright future...Client DetailsA family owned/managed manufacturing business that has been operating near Crewe for over 25 years and are now looking to diversify their product range alongside increased demand for their current products. This is a really exciting time to be joining thisbusiness...DescriptionAs the Design Engineer you will be responsible for:

  • Design from 1st principle.
  • FEA analysis of critical components.
  • Design of assemblies and sub systems.
  • Draughting of all build requirements.
  • Applying geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
  • Work alongside engineering team to develop machine concept.
  • Sourcing and managing of sub-contractors to tight schedules.
  • Modify and improve current machinery to improve life cycle and reliability.
  • Interact with internal and external stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Support development, commercial and operational teams - contribute to technical discussions.
ProfileThe successful Design Engineer will have:
  • Worked in a similar position within manufacturing previously - ESSENTIAL
  • A degree or equivalent in Engineering or similar - ESSENTIAL
  • Proficiency with engineering design programs such as AutoCAD, Solidworks, and Rhino.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills - ESSENTIAL
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills - ESSENTIAL
  • Some working knowledge of CI methodologies - DESIRABLE
