Job Description

Excellent opportunity for a Data Protection Lead / Data Protection Manager to join a leading technology & hardware business in Crewe as form their Compliance team.Client DetailsThis is a leading name in technology & hardware provision globally. Working with banks and major retailers to provide technology services from their HQ in Crewe.DescriptionThe Data Protection Lead / Data Protection Manager will report into the GC based in Crewe.You will pioneer the compliance framework and support on the everyday operational data privacy matters.This includes:- handling all SARs- supporting on DPIAS- advising the business on privacy based queries- training the business and keeping the teams up to date on any policy changes- reviewing and drafting privacy policies- assisting with the implementation of GDPR actions including the completion of legitimate interest assessments, retention schedules and risk assessments. Assisting with the implementation of internal training programmes. Preparing, reviewing, overseeing and maintain a Register of Activities.ProfileThe successful Data Protection Lead / Data Protection Manager will have/be:

  • Experience in data protection/data privacy
  • Ideally qualified with a CIPM or CIPPE
  • Ability to apply data privacy expertise in specific situations and provide pragmatic solutions whilst maintaining high privacy and data protection standards
  • Understanding of European data protection laws and practices and an in-depth understanding of the GDPR
  • Adaptable, proactive and enthusiastic about privacy, able to multitask and prioritise in line with the business need
  • Integrity and high professional ethics, commitment to quality
  • Highly organised, accurate and keen to develop knowledge
  • Team player who can quickly understand and manage complex situations.
  • Excellent communication skills with key stakeholders, data subjects, and other controllers and processors across national boundaries and culture
