THE ROLEAs part of AKKODIS UKs established Automotive division, you will be integral to the expansion of our existing expert and dynamic teams. We are looking for an enthusiastic experienced Automotive Engineer who can work autonomously but also as partof a larger team interacting with stakeholders and owning issues.Akkodis Automotive has a wide breadth of work locations across the UK, with a variety of on-site, customer-based projects as well as deliverable-based work carried out in our Bristol and Crewe offices, giving you the opportunity to be flexible andget involved with a wide variety of projects, customers, approaches and company-wide development opportunities.Responsibilities
  • Representing the Operations team in relevant project meetings as requested, and acting in a professional manner in those forums
  • Interpretation of Customer specifications to convert to parts specifications
  • Input into Visual BOM creation
  • Raising of Purchase orders and reservations
  • Arranging parts transport and tracking
  • End-to-end parts responsibility
  • Reporting of status to senior management forums and External partners
  • Be a key contact for Batur Coachbuilt project Customer Engineers on all new parts required for project and BOM development;
  • Collaborate with customer and supplier contacts to optimise components for application are sourced
  • Support the Mulliner Quality team with any concerns;
  • Support cross-functional Teams with E&0 projects/initiatives:
  • Support our Supply Chain teams with urgent issues relating to continuity of supply;
  • Ensure you are fully trained and competent with all customer and in-house systems where required and necessary;
  • To deliver a positive customer care policy ensuring that effective liaison links are established with all customers to ensure thorough understanding of requirements.
Personal Responsibilities:
  • Represent the company to the customer to ensure that all business objectives are achieved; primarily looking at quality supply and timing
  • Ensure regular status reviews are undertaken with the Line Management and relevant company personnel;
  • Agree with Line Management appropriate measures (KPIs) to monitor performance to achieve the Companys objectives, ensure that they are kept up-to-date and displayed prominently;
Skills required
  • Proven background in Vendor planning roles or similar
  • Good working knowledge of vehicle systems and parts
  • Excellent time management and self-organisational skills
  • KPI focused
  • A good internal negotiator and can be assertive when required, sensitive to low volume limited supplier availability
  • Be comfortable with making decisions and highly organized
  • Highly numerate and some financial awareness
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellence communication at all levels and across the organization
  • A Team player
  • You must be proactive, foresee possible challenges, and identify actions to resolve problems
  • Excellent technical / product knowledge and ability to work within ultra-low volume manufacturing processes
