Job Description

Accounts Assistant(s)Location: Crewe (On-Site)Package: Negotiable + BenefitsWe are looking for an enthusiastic and organised Accounts Assistant to join our expanding accounts team at our Crewe office.The County Group is one of the North Wests fastest-growing brokers and one of the UKs Top 25 brokers. This is all underpinned by the desire to go the extra mile for our clients, treat them as individuals, and keep them coming back year after year.About you: This role will suit those with an interest in working in a finance environment, recent school and college leavers or anyone looking for a change of employment.The role involves carrying out both accounts and administrative support in the accounts department. If youre well organised, can play close attention to detail and like being part of a team, this role could suit you perfectly.The Day To Day:

  • Provide accounting & administration support within our Client accounting team
  • Reconciling and settling Insurer accounts
  • Pay insurer accounts on a monthly basis; involves checking that client has paid, that insurer is quoting the correct premium and commission, that the account is paid according to our terms of payment with each insurer, and in compliance with FCA regulations
  • Check each insurer account at the beginning of each month for long outstanding credits or debits and bring to the attention of the relevant account handler
  • Organise payment for each insurer online by BACS
  • Cash accounting work - Posting of client payments; cash, credit cards, internet and BACs payments
  • To ensure accuracy, efficiency and professionalism when dealing with internal and external clients, including both colleagues and insurers
  • Ensuring tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner
  • Liaise and build relationships with insurers and customers - both internally and externally
  • Liaise with the line manager regularly to ensure consistent processes are being followed and adhered to
  • General administration work: Prioritise all client communication (via phone, email and in person) to ensure the customer receives a high level of customer service Provide accounting & administration support within our Client accounting team
