An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Retail / Catering Manager to oversee delivery of high-quality catering, retail and admissions at WWT Castle Espie Wetland Centre. We welcome 45,000 visitors a year with an annual turnover of approx.£325,000.Retail / Catering ManagerRef: TM(24)/CELocation: WWT Castle Espie Wetland Centre Hours: 37.5 Hours per week, working 5 days out of 7 including weekends and bank holidaysSalary: £30,757 per annumThe RoleAs our Retail / Catering Manager you will be a key member of the senior team at the site, contributing across departments to support delivery of the financial, conservation and visitor engagement targets.We are looking for a proactive manager to maximise sales across our café, shop and admissions offer whilst leading your team to deliver high service standards.You will ensure a constant drive for results through a positive, dedicated approach to change and make business improvements with the ability to lead by example and drive forward our commercial offer.About YouTo join as our Retail / Catering Manager you’ll need:

Exceptionally high food safety standards and ability to assist with basic food preparation when required
A strong financial acumen, understanding P&L, labour percentages and cost of sales
Good organisational skills with the ability to spot new commercial opportunities
Proven experience in motivating and coaching team members
