Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Catering Supervisor to join a leading team based in Comber.This is a Full-Time, Permanent Position -Working hours: 37.5hrs per week 5 days over 7 -Salary £21048 per annumJob Role:As Catering Supervisor, you will be assisting your department manager to create, develop and manage an inspiration and vibrant catering team.Essential Criteria:

  • Educated to a minimum of A-Level standard or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a relevant trading/commercial environment
  • Proven track record in delivering and exceeding departmental targets as well as team supervision
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to confidently train, motivate and engage your team
Desirable Criteria:
  • Food Hygiene Level 3 or above
  • Recognised Health and Safety Qualification
  • Industry recognised Qualification in Catering (HND/City and Guilds)
  • Industry recognised Customer Service Qualification
  • Supervisory/Management Training Qualification
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide and present the business retail and catering product ranges to a consistently high standard
  • Work with your Manager to develop and maintain techniques to pro-actively promote and maximise sales opportunities, adapting to seasonal changes
  • Optimise opportunities for you and the trading team to increase the sale of memberships
  • Assist your Manager to optimise financial performance by reviewing KPIs taking the appropriate action assist in increasing profit, reducing waste and deploying resources effectively
  • Implement the appropriate standards, procedures and best practice
  • Help to maximise every team members contribution to ensure delivery of personal, department and objectives by giving the appropriate levels of direction and support through training, team meetings and individual discussions
  • Encourage all team members to engage with internal communication channels keeping themselves informed and up to date with the progress
  • Lead, coach and engage team members to adapt to continuous change and the implementation of new initiatives
  • Operate and in your Trading Managers absence manage admissions, retail and catering areas that fully adhere to and comply with all legislative standards, in particular Industry Food Hygiene standards
  • Ensure compliance with financial controls and procedures across all Trading operations
  • Undertake duty manager responsibilities on a rota basis
