Job Description

Are you an experienced Credit Controller looking for a new opportunity Do you thrive in a deadline-drive environment and enjoy working collaboratively If so, we have the perfect role for you! We’re looking for a Senior Credit Controller to join our tradedivision at Hillarys, working in our newly refurbished office 3 days a week and 2 working from home.Hillarys is part of the Hunter Douglas group of companies, and this role is specifically for our trade division brands: Arena and Custom West. As a Senior Credit Controller, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our credit controlfunction. You will be responsible for the timely collection of debtors using effective collection methods. Additionally, you will closely monitor trade account performance and collaborate with trade Area Managers to effectively manage debts. You’ll be an excellentcommunicator, using these skills when liaising with both internal and external stakeholders, particularly when credit vetting new trade customers, monitoring customer orders and addressing any queries that may arise.Senior Credit Controller Key responsibilities:

  • Providing support and cover for the Credit Control Team Leader
  • Implementing efficient collection methods to ensure the prompt collection of debtors
  • Monitoring trade account performance and working closely with trade Area Managers to manage debts effectively
  • Conducting credit vetting for new trade customers and opening new accounts
  • Addressing escalated credit control issues
To excel in this position, you should have a minimum of 1 year of credit control experience and possess excellent telephone manners, with the ability to confidently communicate to key stakeholders around the business. An analytical mind set and problem-solvingskills are essential, along with effective time management skills to thrive in a deadline-driven environment. You should be a team player, willing to be hands-on, and have the ability to build and maintain working relationships. While supervisor experienceis beneficial, it’s not essential for this role.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must, and any experience with SAP would help you hit the ground running, although full training will be provided.In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a generous discount on products (for friends and family too!), as well as a health and wellbeing cashback plan.
