Job Description

Are you an experienced Administrator looking for your next career move Or do you have a CIPD qualification and a keen interest in beginning a career in HR Administration We have an exciting opportunity to join our People (HR) team as People Services Assistantbased at our Head Office site in Colwick, Nottingham.Hillarys are part of the Hunter Douglas group of companies, so this is a great time to join our fast-paced and expanding team. Reporting to the Shared Service Lead (UK & Ireland), you’ll be providing effective day-to-day administration and support to colleaguesand line managers, alongside responding to first line queries through our People Admin inbox across multiple brands. You’ll maintain up to date and accurate records in our HR and Payroll system, and administer the correct paperwork relating to contractualchanges and new starters.As People Services Assistant, you’ll need to have excellent verbal and written communication skills as you will be communicating with colleagues of all levels across the Company, and be confident in using Microsoft Office packages as you’ll be using thesedaily. You’ll also need to have proven experience of working to tight deadlines whilst maintaining excellent attention to detail and accuracy.People Services Assistant Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day administration and support to colleagues and line managers
  • Provide general administrative support to the wider People team
  • Prepare all letters or contracts for any changes to colleague terms and conditions e.g. flexible working, change in hours, new role etc.
  • Respond to first line queries from colleagues and line managers
  • Management of the People Admin inbox
  • Respond to terms and conditions queries from new starters and processing returned documents
  • Maintain up to date and accurate records and information relating to colleagues in ResourceLink
  • Maintain organisation charts in Visio & PDF
  • Monitor end of probation and fixed term contracts and out comes, escalating to Business Partner/People Advisor where appropriate
  • Administer variation to contracts and update ResourceLink to reflect the changes accordingly
  • Administer Company and People colleague schemes, e.g. Long Service Awards, Private Medical, Health Shield
  • Respond to external 3rd party requests
You’ll be joining a sociable team in a supportive environment.
