RECRUITMENTiQ is working in partnership with a regional water and sewerage business to recruit a General Construction Operative for the Civil Engineering team.Do you enjoy working outdoors and being part of a team If so, we have rewarding opportunities in our civils construction team. This role is the ideal opportunity to be directly employed, furthering your construction career, in a progressive safe environment.Our civils construction team provide a vital in house design and build service by helping to ensure we construct and maintain the assets to supply water and provide sewerage services to our 2.8 million customers. We now have a fantastic opportunity for you to join the team.As one of our general construction operatives, you will be involved in carrying out construction site activities, including excavation, pipe-laying, operating plant, general groundworks and concreting. You will do this as instructed by the site management team to ensure that all works are completed and compliant with company policies and procedures.Previous construction site experience is not necessarily required, however would be an advantage together with a willingness to travel across the region and get involved.You will also be required to attend and participate in team briefs, safety updates and workplace communications to ensure the works are carried out to the best possible standard. You will be working within a great team which works outdoors in all weathers and deals with different challenges every day, providing a vital service to our client.These roles are site based with sites all around our region. Were looking for people with a positive, can-do attitude, who are also great team players. Safety is key for us and were looking for people who demonstrate an awareness of all things health, safety and wellbeing related. We will need you to hold a valid driving license so that you can get to our (often remote) sites and to operate plant.
