Job Description

Cordant People are currently looking for immediate start Porters for a busy hospital based in the City Centre of Glasgow.The duties -

  • Provide general assistance to staff and visitors.
  • To carry out mortuary duties as per procedures / preparation of cadaver for viewing.
  • To provide a mail delivery and sorting service to wards and departments
  • To move furniture and equipment as requested.
  • To deliver Laundry to departments.
  • Distribution of medical gases where and when required and application of medical gauges.
  • To provide specimen collection and delivery service
  • To transport patients from department to department
  • To assist in the removal and hanging of curtains in all ward areas and departments.
  • To collect dirty laundry and take to dirty holding area for pick-up.
  • Distribution and collection of food trolleys.
  • Transporting medical records for clinics.
  • Taking patients for x-ray from wards and clinics.
  • Answering and use of pages.
  • Setting and unsetting of alarms.
The candidate -
  • No experience or qualifications are required for job as full training will be provided.
  • Personal requirements required include high standard of personal hygiene, good listening
  • skills, good communication skills, ability to understand and adhere policies and
  • procedures, including patient confidentiality ad ability to use discretion when necessary.
The working hours for this position are either 7am-2pm or 2pm-7pm and £10.03 per hour.If you are interested please apply.CP1
