Job Description

Job Title: Home Claims Adjuster / Surveyor / Contracts ManagerLocation: Edinburgh or Glasgow (or close surrounding area)£30,000 - £40,000, company car, 29 days holiday + Bank Holidays, pension, bonus, healthcare etc.We will also consider applications from Claims Handlers who have experience in scoping and scheduling works and some experience of visiting claims on-site.Surveyor / Contracts Manager Working for a market leading insurance company as a Surveyor / Contracts Manager / Adjuster you will be managing residential property claims from inception through to completion. This includes: desktop & on-site validation of property claims, surveying &scoping works, appointing contractor from an established network and management of reinstatement works to completion.This role is home-based covering the Edinburgh and Glasgow cities. You will have full autonomy to manage your own diary and choose your own admin/home days and field visit appointments.Job role and responsibilitiesAs a Contracts Manager / Surveyor / Adjuster, you will manage a caseload of claim reinstatement projects;

  • Conducting field/site visits and carrying out investigations
  • Carrying out desktop (virtual) assessments
  • Validating & repudiating claims
  • Surveying and scoping, producing reports & estimates
  • Negotiating cash settlements or agreeing customer own builder quotes
  • Appointing & scheduling works from a network of contractors
  • Overseeing the on-going repair works, Health & Safety and cost management
What skills/experience will you need
  • Experience of dealing with household property claims is highly desirable
  • Experience in validating and repudiating claims - again highly desirable
  • Technical building background - residential surveying/works management (essential)
  • Full driving licence is essential (company car provided)

  • Basic salary £30-40k depending on experience
