OVERVIEW:o Able to prepare nutritional meals (lunch and dinner) to a high standard following a menu plan, whilst meeting the needs of our culturally and diet specific residents.o Knowledge of HACCP and current food regulationso COSHH knowledgeo Menu planning and budgeting skillso Management of food ordering and stock rotationo Hospitality and presentation skillso Interaction with Service Users to reflect their food choices o High level of cleaning kitchen workplace skillso Reliable and enthusiastic with a flexible approach to working within a team environment. Can do Attitudeo Must have a minimum of Food Hygiene Level 2 Certificate and previous experience of food preparation in a commercial/domestic/hospital setting.KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:o TEAM PLAYER: Strong team player with a positive attitudeo PATIENCE: The service users often start from low capabilities and may make slow and limited progresso COMMITMENT: Service Users benefit from a stable and supportive teamo PROFESSIONALISM: Coolness, self-control and authority under pressure.
