Job Description

If youre dedicated to helping others and improving their independence and quality of life, this full-time role as a Residential Support Worker is an excellent opportunity to take your career forward.My client works in partnership with specialist housing associations to provide 24hr staffing presence at bespoke tenancy complexes. These complexes have a range of self contained flats and, in most cases, communal areas that can be used for enhancing every day living and social skills. The are opening a new supported living home based in Chipstead and therefore looking to recruit 25 new staff members. We are also looking for 20 new staff members in Crawley / Horsham area for an established home.Hours:

  • Day or Night shifts available, 12 hours shifts on a rolling 4 day on / off
  • This will include weekends when your rota falls (about 1 in 3/4)
  • Role includes:
  • Supporting service users in their care plan, as well as with everyday domestic activities and leisure, fitness, learning and employment activities.
  • Encouraging and supporting service users to learn and develop new skills and to nurture positive relationships.
  • Completing service user support notes at the end of each shift
  • Your skills:Passionate, Caring, Empathy, Patience are paramount to this role
  • Preferred experience in community services or as support staff.
  • Youll be calm, positive, sensitive and empathetic to individual needs.
  • Youll be a great communicator and work to establish positive relationships with service users, their families and other healthcare professionals
  • NVQ Level 3 - proffered however FULL Training will be provided if you do not have an NVQ
