Job Description

Our client are one of the UK’s largest privately-owned property services companies with offices UK wide . A leader and pioneer in its field .In a nutshell they need a Team Manager with Payroll and HR experience to manage 8 administrators covering HR admin, payroll and data protection . Experience previously in Payroll and Reward & Benefits ie Salary sacrifice for pensions would be a real bonus. Ideally you will have managed or looked after a team that managed a payroll of a reasonable size , the business currently has 1300 employees but that could rise over next few years to 2000+ . You would need to live within commuting distance of Chipping Sodbury, Bristol as they work 3 days in office 2 from home .They have a new within their People Team as People Services Manager .This is a great opportunity to lead their People Operations team to deliver best-in-class transactional processes relating to HR, payroll and data protection.The purpose of the role is to ensure that their people processes and systems:

  • are compliant with regulatory and company frameworks
  • provide accurate and timely management information to help identify opportunities to improve performance

The People Services Manager Role
  • Lead the activities of the People Operations team to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of administrative tasks relating to each stage of the employee life cycle
  • Manage the effective provision of "first line" people advice to colleagues
  • Provide technical payroll expertise
  • Lead reward activity and develop the provision of employee benefits including pay, pensions, company car and employee insurances
  • Implement and maintain salary sacrifice schemes
  • Identify and drive process/system enhancements and manage the implementation of these into the People Team and wider business
  • Support the business to ensure that company processes comply with statutory data information laws (GDPR)
  • Liaise regularly with peers to understand and meet their current and future people related administration requirements.
What will you bring as a People Services Manager
  • Experience in a similar leadership role, ideally with expertise in payroll, reward and data protection (GDPR)
  • Ability to engage and develop direct reports and colleagues
  • Demonstratable experience of successfully implementing change which has had led to business improvement
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent - Diploma in Payroll Management or CIPD a plus!
  • Experience in maintaining and developing HR and Payroll IT systems
  • Ownership: Takes responsibility for own performance and acts on issues that impacts results.
  • Great interpersonal skills, proactive and positive and ability to multitask.
