Rubies is the worlds largest costume manufacturer and boasts a prestigious portfolio of major licenses including Warner Brothers, Star Wars, Marvel, and Hasbro.Rubies are looking to recruit an experienced National Account Manager (Apparel Division) to join the sales team in our rapidly growing business. The position will be home based but required to attend customer meetings and travel where necessary, including oursites in Bristol, Liverpool & Leeds.You will be reporting to the Channel Manager for Fashion & Apparel. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing several high-profile retail accounts such as George, Tescos, and Sainsburys.We are looking for a dynamic self-starter, preferably from an apparel background with an understanding of clothing / costume manufacturing. You will have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to negotiate and influence with an extensive understandingof critical paths and the product development process. Experience of sourcing and working closely with the Far East would be preferable. You must be able to multitask, managing your workload efficiently and work as part of a wider apparel team. It is criticalthat you can maintain close working relationships with our account base and establish opportunities for further growth.Knowledge of current trends, licensed apparel and sales is essential.Role Responsibilities:In discussion with the Channel Manager for Fashion & Apparel, maintain a schedule of consistent communication and regular account meetings, in order to negotiate strategic business plans, review current performance and identify areas for improvement.Weekly reporting and budget management. Full support from the brand, purchasing and design teams.Identifying and developing new business opportunities for the brand within the channel.Maintain and update forecasting reportsManaging key customer accounts from concept, through the entire sales process.Knowledge, experience, and skills required include:Strong sales experience within a retail backgroundAbility to demonstrate strong selling and negotiation skills with a proven track record of growing an accountStrong commercial acumenExtensive understanding of critical paths and the product development process.Understanding and confidence with management of both volume and profit forecasting processesLogical approach to problem solving with excellent attention to detail and organisation skillsExcellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.Commercially aware and numerically agileThe ability to influence at all levels - both internally and externallyPC literate, with good working knowledge of Word, Excel & PowerPointJob Type: Full-timeSalary: Negotiable DOEBenefits:Cycle to work schemeEmployee discountLife insurancePrivate medical insuranceWork from homeSchedule:MondayFriday 35 hours per weekSupplemental pay types:Bonus scheme
