Job Description

My Client in Chipping Sodbury are looking to take on a full time Completions Clerk. Salary £22-£24k full time permanent 37 hours a week (9am-5pm)COMPLETION CLERK ROLE Preparing bills and having them approved by accounts in advance of exchange/completion Preparing for completions:o Getting/sending replies to requisitionso Ensuring bill approved by accountso Ensuring all funds in from client/mortgage companyo Preparing apportionment statementso Emailing accounts advance notice of completion and providing them with all documents required to send/receive moneyo Ensuring OS1/K17 searches are in date Dealing with completionso On a salereceiving email from accounts to say money is in, then notifying clients, calling agents to release keys, and confirming completion with buyers solicitoro On a purchase advising the sellers solicitor the money is on its way, receiving call/email from them confirming money received, then calling client to confirm completion has occurredo Submitting and SDLT returns (already prepared by fee earners)o Putting any indemnity policies in placeo Sending notices to management companieso Doing completion letters to clients, agents and other sides solicitors Dealing with registrations and any requisitions raised Returning deeds to clients once registrations completed Other general admin roles to assist fee earners and onboarding team, such as scanning documents, chasing outstanding documents, calling lenders to chase responses, answering the phone
