Job Description

We currently have a 12 monthmaternity cover opportunity for an experienced General Ledger Supervisor, to be based in our Head Office, Chipping SodburyHaving been awarded IIP Gold for the second time, we believe in developing and supporting our employees.   • The General Ledger Supervisor role:As General Ledger Supervisor, you will be supervising a team of three. Working in an open plan office, there is a great morale within the finance team and they enjoy celebrating success, as well as personal calendar events eg birthdays/ anniversaries.While developing and mentoring the General Ledger team, your main responsibilities will be to:
  • Lead and support the operation and performance of the General Ledger team
  • Develop and produce accurate General Ledger Management information, service level agreements and KPIs; including managing the balance sheet reconciliations
  • Support the wider business in providing expert advice on general ledger queries
  • Control and report upon the companys financial risks
  • Ensure compliance financial legislation and reporting obligations
  • You will lead and oversee the running of monthly and year end processes
  • What will you bring
  • Have demonstrable people management experience; focussing on empowering, mentoring and support
  • Experience within a general ledger supervisory role or equivalent
  • Have excellent communication skills and build positive relationships both internally and externally
  • Professional accountancy qualification is desirable, for example part qualified CIMA or equivalent
  • Experience in COINS is desirable but not essential
