Job Description

Robert Half are working exclusively with a national business based in Chipping Sodbury, North Bristol to recruit an Assistant Finance Manager - the role will be split working from home and office based.This role is an 11 month Maternity contract which is available to start ASAP to ensure a comprehensive handover is completed.Role: Assistant Finance ManagerDuration: 11 MonthsSalary: £14-£16per hour plus holiday pay.Reporting directly to the Financial Controller you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting with managing a team of 3 people
  • To provide effective management of the day to day operation and performance of the General Ledger team.
  • To develop and produce accurate GL management information, service level agreements and KPls.
  • To review and develop current processes and systems with a view to ensuring they meet business needs currently and in future and are appropriately documented.
  • Supporting with producing accounts to trial balance
  • Monthly ledger reconciliations
  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes and procedures
    • To be considered:
  • AAT Qualified / Part Qualified or Qualified by Experience
  • Previous experience in a varied position is essential
  • Strong understanding of MS Excel
  • Confident communication skills and able to talk to a varying range of stake holders
