Job Description

Milk Education are actively looking for a KS3 and KS4 Music Teacher and department head in the North Manchester area.As a the head of music you will be responsible for the full planning, preparation and delivery of high quality and engaging music lessons therefore knowledge of the current National Curriculum for music is essential. You will also need to have previous experienceof managing a department. We are looking for an ambitious teacher who is willing to uphold the schools values and desire to continue to provide quality education of students.The key responsibilities of a head of music would include;

  • Preparing and delivering lessons inline with the curriculum
  • Enagging students in their studies
  • Suporting other members of the department
  • Continuing to be passionate about music
In order to be considered for this role we require you meet the following criteria;
  • Have eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident.
  • Have at least 6 months school based experience of working in a UK Secondary School setting.
  • Two suitable references covering the last 2 years.
  • Hold a current DBS that is registered with the update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
