Job Description

Biology TeacherMILK Education are currently looking to recruit a qualified Biology teacher to work in our partner Secondary School in the M8 area on long term basis starting from Jnuary. The school we work with are well establish with a fantastic support structures inplace. We are looking for candidates who have an excellent teaching manner, strong classroom management and the willingness to conduct the full teaching cycle at all times.The perfect biology teacher for this role will be confident in behaviour management,be able to engage students and classrooms and be passionate about science!As a biology teacher your key responsibilities include:

  • Creating and leading lessons
  • Positive classroom management, building rapport and a good working relationship with students and staff alike
  • Supporting students in work in biology and potentially covering physics and chemistry
  • Being adaptable to students needs by providing 1 to 1 and small group assistance where required
  • Working with other staff members to meet the schools expectations of learning and development
  • Working with other members of departent and potentially taking on departmental duties
In order to be considered for this role we require you meet the following criteria:
  • Hold a relevant teaching qualification with QTS, such as a PGCE
  • Have eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident
  • Two suitable references covering the last 2 years
  • Have previous experience working as a biology teacher
