Job Description

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Ladieswear Multi Product Designer, working on a wide range of clothing as part of a team designing eye-catching clothing aimed at the younger end of the market, designing for customers including Asos, Boohoo, New Look, Quiz etc.The role offers excellent prospects for development and the ideal candidate will have previous experience designing ladieswear across a wide range of product areas dresses, tops, playsuits and interest in or experience of designing knitwear and outerwear would be advantageousThe Role:

  • Working in an established design team.
  • Designing ladies clothing across multi-products, dresses, tops, playsuits, bottoms, outerwear - mainly working on wovens, and some Knitwear
  • Focused at the High Street/Mid Market level, Designing and targeting on-trend ranges for the 18-30-year-old market.
  • Meeting with Buyers, meeting briefs and building relationships
  • Designing and developing the range, alongside the rest of the design team, from initial concept to finished product.
  • Working closely with the design team with trend, colour, shape, graphic and fabric direction.
  • Interpreting trends and translating them to the customer profile in a commercial way.
  • Researching consumer markets, monitoring market trends and identifying potential areas for exploitation, based upon consumer needs and innovative thinking.
  • Working closely with overseas factories and building up good relationships.
  • Processing samples as they come into the office
  • Working to the critical path.
    • Skills Required:
  • Must be a Design Graduate.
  • Previous experience as a ladies designer is essential,
  • Full knowledge of the manufacturing process and raw materials to develop samples and ranges effectively and to cost.
  • The ability to fully understand customer requirements.
  • Production of design specifications suitable for factories to understand.
  • Must be fully computer literate with strong creative handwriting capabilities.
