Job Description

The Recruitment Co. is urgently recruiting for a Warehouse Manager to join our clients expanding team based in the Baglan area. Immediate start available.Salary: Up to £35,000/annumContract: PermanentHours of work: Monday to Friday: 8am-4.30pmJob OverviewWe are looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager, used to working in a busy FMCG environment, who possesses strong leadership skills and has knowledge and experience using SAP. Successful candidate to direct receiving, warehousing and distribution operations.Key Responsibilities

  • To ensure productivity targets are achieved and that all warehouse processes are running smoothly and promptly.
  • Typically responsible for single function support.
  • Leads and coaches a group of workers engaged in lifting, transporting and/or loading materials for shipment or storage.
  • Oversees processing, packaging and storage of supplies, materials and equipment.
  • Determines appropriate packaging for materials to be shipped and stored, this could include logistics or manufacturing team and external carriers, terminals and or salesforce.
  • May coordinate routing and/or carrier selection.
  • Communicate to drive strong safety cultures and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with companys policies and vision
  • Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures
  • Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements
  • Plan work rotas, assign tasks appropriately and appraise results
Qualifications
  • BS degree in logistics, supply chain management or business administration (preferred but Not essential)
  • Minimum 3+ years of work experience required as a Warehouse Manager
  • Leadership skills and ability to manage staff. Proactive performance management of the team and continue to promote a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
  • Strong decision making and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills
