Job Description

Are you a Policy Planner (Local Development Plan) looking for a new opportunity I am working with Neath Port Talbot Council - Fully remote workingRate - £35 to £55 per hour 6+ month Ongoing ContractYour RoleTo formulate planning policy and non-statutory planning policies and undertake related research activities.   • To prepare, monitor and keep under review the Local Development Plan.
  • To prepare non-statutory planning policies, development planning /design briefs, supplementary planning guidance and documents relating to Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL)
  • To prepare and keep under review the LDP evidence base to underpin and support LDP policies, including data capture, primary research studies, survey work, statistical analysis and public /stakeholder engagement activities.
  • To provide a supporting and contributing role to regional and subregional initiatives and studies.
  • To provide advice to other departments, elected members, partners and members of the public on the implications of legislation, national planning policy and guidance as it affects planning policy
