Job Description

The Recruitment Co. is urgently recruiting for several Machine Operators (Extrusion) to join our clients team based in the Baglan area. Paid Weekly! Temp to perm opportunities!Rate of pay: £10ph (overtime available at time and half)Hours of work: Full time: 12 hour 6-6 shifts. Continental shift pattern working a mixture of days and nights. One week working 5 shifts, the next week working 2 shifts and so on.Contract: Temp to Perm after 12 weeks providing candidate meets performance and job spec criteria below.Main Responsibilities:

  • Filling up all extrusion polymer bins and additive bins.
  • Manual handling of heavy goods - lifting 25kg bags of plastic pellets to fill up empty bins.
  • Feeding machines
  • Maintain general housekeeping and hygiene at all times.
  • Web up extrusion lines and equipment.
  • Carry out visual safety checks on machinery and record data
  • Complete all company production recording documents / paperwork
  • Carry out basic QA checks
  • Log and summarise basic QA checks.
  • Use correct safety equipment / PPE.
  • Comply with company scrap procedure at all times.
  • Be able to use manual and powered Pallet Trucks in a safe manner
  • Monitor operation of printer and top up with ink.
  • Set film length and change reels on all Winders.
  • Identify alarms for polymer shortage.
  • Blow Bubble up back to size on Lines
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties as required by management / supervision to meet the needs of the business.
