Street Works Surveyor/SupervisorLocation: Dundee/AberdeenBusiness Area: Kier Utilities and Rail Scottish Water ContractPermanent - Full TimeWe also build careers.Did you know Kier work in partnership with Scottish water on the Waste Water Alliance This Alliance provides an essential service to respond to a variety of sewer emergencies 365 days a year.We are responsible for the repair and maintenance of the waste water network on mainland Scotland, this is almost 32,000 miles of sewage pipes!We respond to call outs to blocked drains and sewers across Scotland to work to reduce flooding, caused by inappropriate items being added to the network.As the Streetworks Surveyor it will be your responsibility to ensure all our sites are properly assessed ready to start works as per the NEW ROADS & STREET WORKS, TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT ACTS.Working to tight deadlines is imperative for the success of this role so your time management skills and organisation will need to be strong, as you work to capture and log all contract change events identified on site.Attention to detail will also pay a key part as you make sure all information detailed in surveys is accurate.You will be the face of the client and Kier so being able to present yourself in a professional manner is important to us as you will speak to customers and clients in the role.The role will require you to work with hand held devices so having a working knowledge of IT and systems will be an advantage.To be successful in this exciting position you will have had previous experience working in utility contracts specifically Waste Water Excavations and Reinstatement operations.
