Job Description

Cash Applications Specialist - Solihull, UKThe primary responsibility of a Cash Applications Specialist is to ensure that the Cash Apps Team India post all customer receipts in a timely manner assisting where required. You will be heavily involved in cash allocation queries from both India and collectionteams and work closely with the GL Teams on bank reconciliations. Some cash processing is also required. You will ensure that all treasury reporting is completed on time by India assisting with their queries. You will have a close relationship with all EMEAcollection teams, whilst providing back up and core information to the Cash Apps Team in India. Project work for upcoming system upgrades will be a big focus for the Cash Application teams over the coming months.Your Responsibilities Include

  • Varied role which includes Allocations, Inter Company handling, Direct Debits, Month End close, investigation work with problem resolving/allocation corrections and much more, working with other teams within the SSC and Cash Apps team in India
  • Major finance project in currently happening as we move from Smartstream to Cloud Suite Financials (CSF) in the next coming months so training on the Role would be heavily focused in this system which we are all learning together
Knowledge and Skills, You Bring to the Organization
  • Usually requires 2-3 years experience in a similar role, preferably within a large organization and experience of dealing with multiple currencies
  • Must be experienced at working to very tight deadlines, working quickly and accurately
  • Banking experience, preferably knowledge of Direct Debit processes
  • Detail focused ensuring they follow up all unresolved matters and record data accurately
  • Advanced Microsoft skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access would be an advantage
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Basic decision-making ability
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English
  • Bright, energetic, attention to detail, organized
