Key responsibilities In this Lecturer -Engineering job job, your responsibilities will include:You will provide a high quality of education for a range of programmes within the school of engineering, where programmes are delivered from level 1 up to level 6. You will demonstrate a solid understanding of core engineering principles.You will work to ensure the learner experience is put at the forefront of delivery and support all stakeholders to ensure that standards are raised consistently. This will support the school of Engineering to be first choice for learners and employers inthe region.To teach on a range of programmes from level 1 up to and including Level 6 Bachelors Degree, within the school of Engineering.To act as course tutor/co-ordinator for agreed programmesTo support the Head of School for Engineering in strengthening and developing links with relevant stakeholders.To contribute to the marketing of programmes, recruitment, and interviewing.To contribute to the development of a flexible curriculum and the learning materials to support this including the Colleges virtual learning platforms.To develop external contacts and promote industry-based work including work experience placements where applicable.To be proactive in maintaining and developing quality standards on all programmes and demonstrate a commitment to quality improvement.To adhere to policies, procedures and values of Solihull College and University Centre.To undertake mandatory training in a timely manner as required e.g. Safeguarding, Prevent.To undertake necessary Health and Safety responsibilities, duties and training as required by this post.To undertake any necessary Data Protection responsibilities, duties and training as required by the post.Such other duties as required which are broadly consistent with the general functions and grading of this position.
