Can lead to an assistant ranger or ranger role and potentially move to a L4 Countryside Ranger apprenticeship after additional experience gained in role. You can find out more from some of our current and previous apprenticeships here:National Trust Jobs :: Apprenticeships The National Trusts ranger team at Blickling has an exciting opportunity for an apprentice ranger to work across the 4,600 acres making up the Estate. Carrying out a broad scope of works on sites throughout the listed park and wider estate including wetlands,grassland, woodland, wood pasture and lowland heath; this role brings all that this part of rural Norfolk has to offer to the right candidate.Youll be the face of the Trust to our visitors, neighbours and tenants and support the ranger team in delivering work plans and schedules. Youll work alongside a dedicated team of volunteers to help with the management of the diverse landscape as wellas collecting survey data to inform our management.There will be a regular need for weekend work as well as occasional evenings and bank holidays. What youll be doing Youll be working with your Trust Line Manager/ Mentor on tasks specific to your apprenticeship and as part of the wider team and will be working outdoors in all weathers. Youll attend, and prepare for, monthly review meetings with yourProvider Mentor and be accountable for your own progression in relation to the Apprenticeship Standard. Youll be required to complete and upload relevant evidence to the appropriate e-portfolio system to document your progress as well as maintain timesheetsfor Off-the Job training. Youll be required to complete mandatory e-learning, courses and training provided as well as preparing for exams if applicable. Youll need to attend 2 block weeks of training at the college in Somerset, with all travel, food and accommodation costs covered. Please also read the full role profile attached to this advert.
