  • Purpose of the role:To support the Head of H&S in all aspects of Health & Safety policy and procedure within BCA Remarketing.You will support the Head of H&S in delivery ensuring that all areas of the business are compliant with Health & Safety legislation as well as agreed company requirements.Role Accountabilities:
  • Support the delivery BCA Remarketing’s Health & Safety strategy, policies and procedures
  • Work with the Head of H&S on advising the Health & Safety Executive Committee (HASEC), the Company’s Directors and Branch Managers on all aspects of Health and Safety appropriate to the workplace
  • Gather data on agreed KPIs to ensure the business is meeting Health & Safety requirements in line with company policy and legislation
  • Support the delivery of all aspect of ensuring Remarketing is a COVID Secure workplace
  • Support the delivery of proper and timely assessment of risks to Health & Safety and implementation of measures and arrangements identified as required from the assessments
  • Assist with the monitoring and management of all aspects of third party contractor Health & Safety requirements when carrying out work/duties at any Remarketing location
  • Technical skills:
  • Produce policy and procedure documentation and communications for Remarketing Health & Safety including risk assessments and safe working practices
  • Produce reports to HASEC and UK Remarketing Senior Leadership Team as required
  • Produce, monitor and communicate KPI performance for Health & Safety across the business
  • Support the delivery of all aspects of COVID Secure workplace policy, ensuring changes are documented, communicated and implemented at all locations
  • Travel (when required) to Remarketing locations for support, review and audit purposes
  • Able to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • Good I.T. skills including Excel, PowerPoint and internal BCA systems
  • Ability to interpret and utilise data effectively
  • Strong ability to work with colleagues at all levels
  • Knowledge and Experience:Essential:
  • You must have Health & Safety experience within an operational environment and across multiple locations
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, and be able to influence at a senior level
  • Qualifications in HSE and Fire & Safety Management Systems
  • Working knowledge in Health, Safety Management Systems OHSAS 18001
  • Experience in Incident Investigation, HSE Auditing and Safety training
  • Ability to train, influence and motivate team members and SMT
  • First aid qualification
  • Must hold a full UK driving licence as you may be required to travel
  • Preferable:
  • NEBOSH General Certificate as a minimum (diploma preferred)
  • Experience of working in an auction or vehicle sales environment
  • Working HoursThis role will be remote based and you will cover various locations across the UK Travel will be required.40 hours per week Monday to Friday Required skills
