Paediatric & Adult Crisis Worker (Bank/Zero Hours) - North YorkshireMountain Healthcare Limited is pleased to offer an exciting opportunity within the county of North Yorkshire.Each county has its own dedicated Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC): The Bridge House SARC is based in Bishopthorpe, York.This service has been commissioned to support the community of Yorkshire, the team consists of but is not limited to Crisis Workers, Forensic Nurse Examiners and Sexual Offence Examiners. This service aims to improve the immediate medical response and aftercare offered to victims of sexual assault and rape.Mountain Healthcare are a specialist business already providing similar services to 14 other SARCs in locations across the UK.We are registered with the CQC for the provision of these services.For this role you will work as part of a bank of Crisis Workers who will help cover the service (predominantly) out of office hours, including nights and weekends. Shifts will be 8 hours in length (5pm to 1am, 1am to 9am).There are currently no associated qualification requirements for this vacancy.Experience of working with children,vulnerable people, dealing with victims of sexual assault, or a background in sexual health/GU medicine/counselling or another related area of work would be an advantage.Our vision for delivering this high quality service specification will require all staff to be able to develop new skills and we will work with you to provide the right support in a challenging environment.We would love our staff to identify new ideas and help develop the evidence base to identify what people need from our service.Applicants must ideally live within easy reach of the SARC and have access to transport for out of hours travel.This post has a genuine occupational qualification under the Sex Discrimination Act, Section 7(2)b and 7(2)e.
