Job Description

**Area Technical Manager (Specification Sales, Field Based) - West Midlands**Client:My client is a world leading manufacturer in their field, they own companies across 100+ countries and have over 300 factories, 25,000+ employees and sales of £8+ billion in FY 2019. Last year alone they put their name to 85 new patents and invested over£190million into R&D/Innovation. The variety of subsidiaries create a range of solutions, all predominantly based around protecting, bonding or reinforcing materials.Selling into a range of high end customers - Architects, Specifiers, Surveyors, Distributors, Installers and Applicators. This role is all about structured selling, working with autonomy and building trust.They offer a full, comprehensive training program covering the first 9 months, based in a UK Head Office, sales training and so on.Role:To maximise sales and profitability through the education, and relationship management of distribution, contracting and end user customers.

  • Achieve pre-agreed sales targets: grow & look after existing business by developing strong relationships with customer contacts, maximise the potential of the existing customer base
  • CPD presentations and specifications
  • Undertake a variety of activities to educate and/or promote new and existing products
  • Support with production, management and distribution
  • Maintain accurate records of sales figures. Stock levels, opportunities and other key intel in order to provide regular reporting updates to key stakeholders
  • Support with both roadshow and training events
Candidate:
  • Having 2+ years commercial experience in construction sales would be an advantage
  • Someone who can influence others and demonstrate leadership traits
  • Self-reliant and resilient
  • Self-motivated and results driven
  • Able to build strong customer relationships
Package:Role: Area Technical Manager (field based)Territory: West MidlandsSalary: £45,000 to £53,000 (negotiable)Bonus: Earn up to 40% of your basic salary in bonusOther Benefits:
