A leading UK insurer is seeking a GI Reserving Actuary to take on a long-term fixed term contract (ending Dec 2022 with review). Reporting directly into the Reserving Manager, you will contribute to the production of all FIL technical provision calculationsthrough the initial calculation of claims reserves and the development of appropriate reserving strategies, techniques and controls ahead of review.You will collaborate with the wider Actuarial team and assist with financial reporting, business planning, calculation of claim trends for inclusion in risk pricing and financial projects/programmes; including business migration.The ideal candidate will be a part-qualified GI Actuary with a background in reserving (ideally in personal lines insurance) and have some experience with ResQand SAS.Remote working is possible (ie 1-2 days in the office per week) and a competitive salary and market leading benefits package (including bonus) is on offer.
