Our client is a UK wide consultancy, they are looking for a Project Landscape Architect to work directly with the Head of Landscape and senior management teams on the design and development of projects from concept stage through to completion,and input/assistin developing the Landscape business and portfolio.The role will suit an experienced Landscape Architect with minimum of four years post-Chartership (or similar) experience who is looking to develop their career within a growing business.Demonstrable skills in leading and delivering complex schemes of varyingscale, with good level of technical design competency and proficiency with CAD, the candidate must also have a good level of graphical talent and sound knowledge of the UK standards and planning system.An understanding of the sectors in which we operate will be helpfulbut is not essential. Our client is at the leading edge of BIM, using Archicad and 3D modelling as our CAD authoring software and though previous experience of BIM and Archicad is not necessary,a commitment to learn these is essential and training will be provided.Salary is negotiable based on experience.Employees benefit from 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, private healthcare, pension, critical illness cover and life assurance.The role will be as a Landscape Architect working from the Birmingham studio, leading and delivering on landscape commissions and working directly with the in-house team of architectural staff, external clients and external design teams comprising subconsultantsworking on a wide variety of schemes and projects, such as Strategic/ Master-Planning, Mixed Use, Residential, Educational and Commercial throughout the UK.You may also be required to travel occasionally to our studios in Sheffield for training and meetings, as well as to our studios in London and Kent.TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop and deliver Landscape projects from concept through to completion (for all workstages on both D&B and traditional contracts)Prepare concept design sketches and develop design/detail utilising CAD Software/ArchiCAD in BIM.Responsibility for the day-to-day management and administration of Landscape projects.Communicate and engage with the multidisciplinary Our client team, clients and external consultants.Prepare all drawn information, specifications and schedules associated with typical Landscape Architecture services.Develop deliverables schedules and design programmes.Co-ordinate the production of visualisations and animations using CAD/3D model with the team.Production of reports and any other documents necessary for projects.Attend and report at Design Team meetings and co-ordinate meetings and workshops.Attend client/stakeholder meetings to present designs and reports.Ensure the landscape design is kept within the clients set budget and on programme.Assist with the compilation of bids, tenders and competitions.Attend interviews as necessary.
