Job Description

Account Manager - Steel StockholderJob Title: Account Manager - Steel StockholderIndustry Sector: Steel Stockholder, Steel, Steel Stockholding, Steelworks, Steel Products, Structural Steel, Steel Fabricator, Contractors, Sub Contractors, OEMs, Construction, EngineeringMust be based: Dudley or surrounding areasRemuneration: £30,000 - £40,000neg (depending on experience) + 15% bonusBenefits: comprehensive benefits packageThe role of the Account Manager - Steel Stockholder will involve:

  • Internal office based account manager position selling a range of steel products such as: sheet & plate, hollow sections, merchant bars, access safety, structural steel etc
  • Working across multiple industries such as: engineering, construction, agricultural, manufacturing, oil & gas, off shore, safety & access
  • All of your time will be spent managing a handful of key accounts from main contractors, sub-contractors, end users to large OEMs such as JCB & Caterpillar
  • Working closely with internal teams
  • Average order values range from £10k to £300k +
  • Will focus on building lasting relationship and managing accounts rather than having a revenue target (KPI driven)
The ideal applicant will be Account Manager - Steel Stockholder with:
  • Must have experience dealing with / selling steel products such as: sheet & plate, hollow sections, merchant bars, access safety, structural steel etc
  • Must have experience managing accounts and building relationships
  • Ideally worked for a steel stockholder
  • Ideally have relationship with main contractors, sub-contractors, end users and large OEMs
  • Ideally worked in multiple industries such as: engineering, construction, agricultural, manufacturing, oil & gas, off shore, safety & access
  • Would see a more commercially focused candidate with good product knowledge
