Salary: CompetitiveHours of work: Full timeCompany benefits: 25 days holiday, cycle to work scheme, pension contribution of up to 7%, optional private healthcare, DIS at 4 times salary, 24/7 employee assistance programme, and a bonus which is non-contractualKameo Recruitment is excited to be partnering with a Technology Manufacturer based in Bar Hill, to recruit a Warehouse and Stores Manager. As part of the Supply Chain team, you will be responsible for the managing the daily workload and performance of the warehouse and managing 5 members of staff.If you have a strong background in managing a busy warehouse, then our client will be eager to speak to you!Duties & Responsibilities of the Warehouse and Stores Manager

  • Manage people and performance within the warehouse, including Goods In, Kitting, and Goods Out
  • Ensure a professional and consistent approach is taken, with quality standards upheld and targets met
  • Promote collaborative working within the Supply Chain team
  • Manage conflicting agendas for the benefit of the operations and the business
  • Ensure the warehouse works in line with the company values of reducing waste, cost, and improving operational effectiveness
  • Manage third-party logistics providers, ensuring regular benchmarking to guarantee the appropriate level of service vs cost
  • Ensure the warehouse meets ISO and health & safety standards
  • Provide a monthly management report including trend analysis and action plans
  • Guide and mentor the team, and give advice to the business on warehouse utilisation, logistics, and transport costs
  • Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies
Requirements for this role
  • Candidates must have a strong background managing a warehouse or / and stores
  • Previous experience managing staff is also required
  • Time management skills, people management skills, problem solving skills, and an appreciation of the bigger picture within an operations environment
  • Communication and listening skills
  • Understanding of basic technical terminology
  • Microsoft Office knowledge
