Job Description

Materials PlannerWe are collaborating with a premier manufacturer in the oil & gas sector, seeking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic Materials Planner to enhance their expanding team.As an integral member of the organisation, you will liaise with the Production, Purchasing, and Customer Service teams to guarantee the timely availability of materials for the production schedule. Leveraging your excellent communication skills, you willconfidently interact with both internal and external stakeholders, contributing to the overall operations within the Operations Department.If you’re looking to develop your career as a Materials Planner in a fast-paced environment, this is the perfect opportunity for you.Job Responsibilities

  • Work with Purchasing team to ensure all material is available for start of manufacture
  • Work with Production on release of manufacture Work Orders
  • Update the Sales Team with information on customer shipments
  • Update Production boards with latest material receipt information and manufacture completion dates
  • Liaise with vendors on material delivery dates
  • Advise stores on Work Order release date
  • Raise Requisition Orders
  • Update Sharepoint Schedule
  • Run CTB (Clear to Build) reports
  • Work with Engineering to identify preliminary critical parts, long-lead parts and inspection requirements
  • Work with the Purchasing team to develop supplier and commodity road maps
Persons Specification
  • Proven experience as a Materials Planner
  • Strong Excel and administration skills
  • Ideally you will also have experience using SAP
  • Excellent communications skills
  • You will be a fast learner
  • Confident and proactive with suppliers
Hours of Work, Pay, and Benefits
  • Up to £40,000
  • Monday to Thursday – 8am to 4.45pm
  • Friday – 8am to 12.30pm
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
