Job Description

The package will include 28 days holiday per annum, access to a comprehensive pension scheme, and healthcare benefits.This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to join a leading biotech company with branches in Cambridge (UK), Houston (US), Leiden (NL) and we provide products and services globally.We are now recruiting for a hard-working, competent and organized individual to join us and work within the marketing team, managing the digital marketing activities of the company with the aim to improve brand visibility and increase sales!In addition to this as our Digital Marketing Assistant you are responsible for:

  • Managing all SEM campaigns on Google, Yahoo and Bing in order to maximize ROI
  • Running and maintaining Pay-Per-Click (PPC) campaigns to increase revenue via online advertising
  • Using Google tools including Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Tag Manager, Google Data Studio and others as required
  • Assisting the IT team to ensure the website is accessible and easy to follow to allow increased interaction
  • Working with the Web Development team to ensure SEO practices are properly implemented on new code
  • Researching and implementing content recommendations for organic SEO success
  • Checking search terms, rankings and analytics to monitor performance of the website and make recommendations for improvement
  • Investigating and implementing link-building opportunities
  • Developing and integrating content marketing strategies
  • Keeping up-to-date with search engine algorithms
  • Communicating strategy and results to the marketing team and business
  • Assisting the marketing team with creating content for the website, advertising, creating visually engaging content and any other
  • projects when necessary
  • Work with the marketing team on the Company’s overall marketing strategy
  • Organising and contributing to regular Marketing team meetings
  • Analysing and reporting on activities and recommending improvements
  • Managing and optimising social media presence across various platforms
  • Managing and segment email lists
  • Monitoring and reporting on competitor digital activity
In order to be successful in this role you must have:
  • Digital Marketing / IT qualification or experience.
  • Proven social media experience.
  • Proven email marketing experience.
  • Proven SEO experience.
  • Fluent in English.
It would be great if you had:
  • A working knowledge of HTML, CSS or JavaScript.
  • Knowledge of Biology, a Life sciences degree (BSc, MRes, MSc, PhD) or equivalent experience.
  • A Level Biology or sound knowledge of, and interest in, Biology.
  • Tenacious with a keen eye for detail.
