From best before dates on eggs, to serialised identifying codes on medicines, to batch codes on electronic components, to competition codes in confectionery, Dominohelps to enable product safety, improved supply chain management and brand protection.Role backgroundAs part of its Purpose & Vision, Domino is laying foundations around its CSR strategy, which includes an important drive to reduce its CO2e footprint. A fundamental part of this is to analyse the environmental impact of current & future products, to helpshape future direction to reduce our group wide CO2e footprint. We need an astute and analytical person, who is able to extract data from multiple sources, to produce product lifecycle assessments. This will help us build a picture of our product carbon footprint,with the aim of identifying actions which can reduce/offset it, towards net zero.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliverables: Data extraction, analysis and consolidation to calculate product CO2 footprint and generate Product Lifecycle Assessments (19 products in scope, but this role aims to make a start with the first products).Tasks:

  • Navigate a range of data sources
  • Extract product data to produce product lifecycle assessments (LCAs)
  • Identify data gaps/inaccuracies and make suggestions on how best to close them
  • Provide LCA data to Brother Industries (parent company)
  • Where relevant, understand & adapt how data fits/aligns with external reporting standards
About youThis role would suit someone wishing to gain experience in global technology organisation and who has an eye for detail. No specific experience is necessary but a general interest in science or engineering would be an advantage.We do ask for Degree or equivalent, an analytical mind and attention to detail.
