Job Description

Are you a Payroll Assistantlooking for a varied and new opportunity within the Payroll sector advoare looking for a Payroll Assistant to join their payroll team.You will join on a full time, permanent basis and in return you will receive a competitive salary of £22,000£28,000 (subject to experience & qualifications) pluscommission for newly onboarded clients and a competitive benefits package.   • Working towards managing aportfolio of payroll clients,within a team to meet deadlines and ensureaccurate and efficient running of monthly, weekly, 2 weekly and 4 weekly pay runs.
  • Maintain robust payroll processing systems and records by gathering, calculating and inputting data.
  • Ensure the internal payroll systemis accurate and up to date across all client records.
  • Liaise with clients via telephone and email, providing advice and guidance on all matters relating to payroll.
  • Adhere to payroll legislation and advo policies and procedures.
  • Remain competent with HMRC guidance and updates and where necessary liaise with HRMC on behalf of clients.
  • Attend allocated new business client meetings (via telephone or face to face), working towards agreed annual targets.
  • Onboard new payroll clients and build successful relationships, actively cross-selling into other advo areas (employee benefits and HR)
Payroll Administration
  • Dealing with allocated incoming & outgoing post.
  • Printing and scanning of documentation including issuing of payslips, P45s & P60s.
  • Uploading of monthly pension contributions via online provider portals.
  • Processing BACs payments.
Competencies / knowledge/ Skills / Qualifications
  • Ability to work collaboratively and efficiently within a team
  • Accurate numeracy is essential
  • Good analytical, problem-solving skills
  • Reliability and ability to work well under pressure
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good verbal and written communication
  • Experienced with Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel
  • A general understanding of payroll legislation, however training will be provided
  • CIPP qualification desirable but not essential
  • Full UK Driving Licence
